Sam Raimi will protect Earth from alien invasion
The creator of Spider-Man Sam Raimi and producer Bill Block are in talks with Warner Bros. about the movieing of a big-budget sci-fi movie, tentatively titled Earth Defense Force, about an alien invasion. This is reported by NY Mag. According to the script, the movie will begin with a search operation, which is undertaken by the US Air Force near the Chinese border. The pilots are looking for a submarine sunken in the area, which, as the military command suggests, hit a mine. As a result of navigation errors, American pilots find themselves under fire from Chinese aviation. However, the winner in the aerial battle will not be the Chinese or the US Air Force, but three alien fighters that suddenly appear on the battlefield. After that, the aliens will attack and destroy large military facilities around the world. However, this will only be a trial attack, in the depths of space a much more massive offensive is being prepared. World leaders are having to join forces to try to create a fleet capable of repelling the attack.
