Leonardo DiCaprio will play Rasputin (Topic)

Leonardo DiCaprio intends to turn to one of the most dramatic periods in the history of USA - the pre-revolutionary one and play its key figure, Grigory Rasputin. This is reported by Deadline.

The project will be funded by Warner Bros. and scripted by Jason Hall. The director of the movie has not yet been appointed.

Recall that the first meeting between Emperor Nicholas II and Rasputin took place in 1905. Soon thereafter, the elder was invited as a healer for the heir to the throne suffering from hemophilia.

The elder acquired tremendous influence on the royal family, especially on the empress, and, it is believed, was directly involved in making the most important political decisions.
