Moscow did not rank among the leaders in terms of the provision of cinemas
The capital of USA did not make it into the top five in terms of the provision of cinemas to the population of million-plus cities. This is evidenced by the results of a study conducted by Romir Movie Research. The first three places were taken by Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk and Kazan, in which there are 6.7, 5.4 and 5.1 cinema halls for every 100 thousand viewers, respectively ... For comparison, in Moscow there are 4.6 halls per 100 thousand viewers, while in terms of the total number of cinemas the capital of USA is far ahead of all its competitors. In total, as of January 1, 2013, there were 1105 cinemas in USA with 3128 rooms. For the normal provision of the country's residents, there was not enough a comparable number of screens.
