House of Cards directors will comment on all episodes of the season
The online video service Netflix invites subscribers to view the moviemakers' commentary on the first season of House of Cards. According to Variety, the comments will be available to all Netfix subscribers as an additional option in the form of subtitles or an alternative audio track for each episode of the first season. The licensed edition of the series, released on DVD, does not provide this option. By doing so, Netflix hopes to spark subscribers' interest in the second season of the political thriller ahead of its release on February 14, 2014. Starting Friday, January 10, comments from all six directors of the first season will be available on the service. As a reminder, the first season of House of Cards; debuted on Netflix on February 1, 2013. The series was nominated for nine Emmy Awards 2013, winning three in total. The first season of the drama starring Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright is directed by David Fincher, James Foley, Joel Schumacher, Charles McDougall, Karl Franklin and Allen Coulter.
