House of Cards Season 3 Premiere Date Announced
The Netflix video service has announced the premiere date for the third season of the political drama "House of Cards" on the series' official Facebook page. The show, adapted for television by Beau Willimon, starring Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright, will return for a third season on February 27, 2015. The page features a video of spouses Frank and Claire Underwood ascending Board # 1. Season 3 of the drama was ordered for production prior to the show's second season airing. All thirteen episodes of the second season aired on the streaming service Netflix on February 14, 2014. In the first weekend, two percent of Netflix subscribers in the US and one percent in Europe watched all thirteen episodes of the political thriller. The series is a nominee and laureate of many prestigious television awards, awarded by trade unions such as the Writers Guild of the United States, the American Costume Designers Guild, the Producers Guild of the United States, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and the American Academy of Television Arts. Robin Wright won Best Actress in a Drama Series at the 2014 Golden Globe Awards. Agnieszka Holland will stage two of the thirteen episodes of the third season, one of whose most recent works is the four-part mystical thriller "Rosemary's Baby".
