A Stargate Fan Goes To Raise 50 Million For A Sequel
A fan of Stargate Universe, after being canceled by Syfy for two seasons, used Kickstarter to raise funds for the show's third season. Melbourne resident Jonathan Annette says he didn't pursues any selfish goals and does not know any of the creators of the series. He, a regular fan of the fantasy show, decided to use the donation method to get the third season of the series going. Annette believes that the production of twenty episodes of the show, each costing around A $ 2 million, will cost around A $ 50 million to cover maintenance costs and a contingency fund.
