Academy Awards Governing Board Names Honorary Oscars for 2012. According to the official press release, they were stuntman Hal Needham, documentary moviemaker D.A. Pennebaker and movie promoter George Stevens Jr.

Jeffrey Katzenberg, CEO of DreamWorks Animation, has received a Gene Hersholt Special Award.

Honorary Oscars. presented at a special ceremony this year at the Ray Dolby Ballroom in Hollywood this year.

The main ceremony will take place in February 2013.
