Brian Singer to direct Battle Creek pilot
Brian Singer has been appointed to direct the pilot for CBS's Battle Creek. Deadline reports. The thirteen-part drama, scripted by Vince Gilligan in 2002, is centered around Detective Russ Agnew (Dean Winters) and FBI agent Milton Chamberlain, who join forces to cleanse the streets of Battle Creek, Michigan are free from crime, despite the fact that they have a diametrically opposite worldview. David Shore, with whom Singer has already worked on the pilot of Doctor House, has been appointed as the showrunner of the project. Gilligan, Shore, Singer and Mark Johnson are executive producers. The premiere of the series is scheduled for the off-season 2014-2015.
