CBS is movieing classic play Strange Couple
CBS plans to shoot a series based on Neil Simon's play "Strange Couple." According to Deadline, the star of Friends Matthew Perry will play one of the main roles in it, and will also act as a co-writer and executive producer. At the center of the play, published in 1956, a couple of friends - – sleazy and carefree Oscar Madison and neat and boring Felix Unger, forced to live in the same apartment. Perry will play Oscar. The casting for the role of Felix is still pending. The 1968 play Strange Couple was based on Simon's play. with Walter Mattau (Oscar) and Jack Lemmon (Felix) in the lead roles, and exactly 30 years later, in 1998, there was a sequel with the same actors – Strange Couple 2.
