German TV network to movie series about Anne Frank
German production group Constantin Film will team up with the public television network ZDF to create a two-part miniseries based on Anne Frank's life story. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the premiere of the project, timed to coincide with the 70th anniversary of the death of Anne Frank, is scheduled for 2015. German scriptwriter Andrea Stoll will write the script for the series. The TV show will show the life of Frank, her family and friends three years before they were forced to hide from the Nazis. There will also be an emphasis on transforming Frank from an open-minded girl to a reticent teenager living in isolation. Martin Moskovitz has been appointed executive producer of the project.
