Netflix Starts Production of Elizabeth II Series
Netflix Video Service has officially announced the start of production of the ten-part drama "The Crown" by Peter Morgan and Stephen Daldry. The series, negotiated since May 2014, will be based on Morgan's play "The Audience". This is reported by The Hollywood Reporter. The play, staged by the Royal National Theater in London, which premiered in 2013, recounts the weekly audiences that Queen Elizabeth II has arranged for her prime ministers since 1952 to this day.
