Universal Pictures Films Stephen King's Granny (Topic)

Universal Pictures, together with Blumhouse Productions, intend to movie a Stephen King's Granny. This is reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

Peter Cornwell has been appointed director, with the mystical movie Ghost in Connecticut to his credit. The main role will be played by British actress Frances O'Connor.

King's short story was first published in 1984. It tells the story of a single mother who is raising two sons. One day she finds out that their grandmother Mercy is a real witch.

In 1986, the story was already movieed as part of the television series The Twilight Zone.
