Hollywood Film Awards presented in the USA
Hollywood Film Awards took place in the USA. The main award went to the thriller Gone Gone, directed by David Fincher, but Morten Tildum, director of The Imitation Game, won the director's nomination. Benedict Cumberbatch, who played in this movie, was honored as the best actor. Julianne Moore received the award in a similar female category for her role in Still Alice. Keira Knightley ("The Imitation Game") and Robert Duvall ("The Judge") were recognized as Best Supporting Actors. The award in the category "blockbuster of the year" was awarded to the fantastic movie "Guardians of the Galaxy". Best Animated Film was named "How to Train Your Dragon 2". Michael Keaton received a Special Achievement Award for Acting. The movie "Finally Famous" won the Best Comedy nomination. Best Ensemble Award went to Fox Hunter, starring Channing Tatum and Steve Carell. Breakthrough of the Year was recognized for the role played by Eddie Redmayne in The Theory of Everything, as well as the role of Shailene Woodley in the drama The Fault in the Stars.
