The rivals in this category were the ensembles of the movies "Adolescence", "The Grand Budapest Hotel", "The Imitation Game", "Stephen Hawking's Universe".

Guild Awards for Supporting Actors went to Patricia Arquette ("Boyhood") and J.K. Simmons ("Obsession").

In the nomination "The best team of stuntmen in a feature movie" the award was given to the stunt doubles for the movie "Unbroken".

The Screen Actors Guild Awards have been presented for the 21st time. As a rule, its laureates then receive the Oscars.
