The Walt Disney Company has canceled its June 2013 movieing for 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. This is reported by the Australian edition of Sydney Morning Gerald.

The reason is the uncertainty with the cast. Previously, it was assumed that the main role will be played by Brad Pitt, but he refused to participate in the project. Channing Tatum was mentioned as an alternative, but a contract with him has not yet been signed. The director is still listed as David Fincher.
