Peter Jackson refined the timing of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, which kicks off his trilogy based on the famous work of Tolkien.

“The movie will be 10 minutes shorter than The Fellowship of the Ring. Thus, it will be the shortest movie dedicated to the events in Middle-earth. I mean the Fellowship of the Ring lasted almost three hours, and this movie - two hours and forty minutes, '' the director said in an interview with Empire.

Recall that the first part of The Hobbit; launches worldwide on December 14, 2012. It will be released in both conventional and stereoscopic formats. Also in a limited number of rooms we will be demonstrating a version with a frequency of 48 frames per second and Dolby Atmos sound.
