Hollywood blockbusters did not save USAn distribution
Despite the premiere of the most anticipated movies of 2015 - "Avengers 2: Age of Ultron", "Mad Max 4: Fury Road" - in May, the attendance of USA cinemas reached the lowest level in the last five years. This is evidenced by the results of a study that Movie Research leads. According to the official press release, USA cinemas were visited by 12.55 million viewers, which is 17.6 percent less than the same period a year earlier. At the same time, the attendance of not only domestic movies, but also foreign ones decreased. The latter were watched by 17.9 percent fewer viewers. The most popular USA movie was the new adaptation of the story "The Dawns Here Are Quiet ...", which attracted 1.17 million viewers to cinemas in five weeks. The most visited foreign movie was the fantastic movie "Avengers 2: Age of Ultron", it was watched by 3.2 million viewers. The second place went to the blockbuster "Mad Max 4" with a score of 2.1 million viewers. It should be noted that in April the situation in the USA box office was exactly the opposite - the attendance rose to a record 15.5 million viewers, which was the best achievement in the last five years.
