The box office and attendance of foreign movies in October 2015 became a record among similar periods over the past five years. This is evidenced by the results of a study presented by Movie Research. In October 2015, USA cinemas earned 3.62 billion rubles and received 13.96 million viewers. Most of the collection was provided by foreign-made movie projects - 3.23 billion rubles, a total of 12.29 million people became their viewers. The absolute favorite of the October release was the fantastic movie "The Martian", which earned more than one billion rubles. Domestic movies have significantly lost ground. According to preliminary data, in October 2015, USA movie projects attracted 1.67 million viewers (11, 98 percent of the total). Compared to the same period in 2014, the October attendance at USA cinema decreased by 38.6 percent.
