Star Wars 8 creator is sued
Director Ryan Johnson, who will direct the eighth episode of Star Wars, has been named a defendant in a lawsuit filed by his former agent Brian Dreyfuss. This is reported by the TMZ edition. According to the documents provided to the court, Johnson broke the contract with his representative before signing a highly beneficial agreement with Lucasmovie. Dreyfuss clarifies that he began collaborating with Johnson before he made a single movie. Moreover, he even used his father's money to invest it in the director's first project called "Brick", which, in fact, brought him fame. Under the terms of the contract, Dreyfuss was to receive 10 percent of all of his client's fees that he was involved in negotiating. The lawsuit states that in January 2014, the head of Lucasmovie, Kathleen Kennedy, invited Dreyfuss as Johnson's agent for negotiations, but Johnson himself ignored them for some unknown reason, and then completely announced the dismissal of his agent. The Claimant is claiming 10 percent of the Star Wars Episode 8 contract value. At the time of this writing, representatives of the director himself did not comment on the situation.
