Banned in Ukraine USAn TV series topped the search engine rankings
The USA television series Fizruk, banned by the Kiev authorities, topped the rating of the most popular search queries in 2016 on the territory of Ukraine along with the European Football Championship. This data is provided in the annual report of Google. Another USA-made television project, Major, was also in the top three. It is noteworthy that Ukrainian netizens searched for these series much more often than, for example, "Game of Thrones", which was in the top ten. Suicide Squad, Deadpool, Doctor Strange, Zootopia, The Survivor, and others were among the full-length movies that we searched for in 2016 on Google. In the rating of TV series, in addition to those already mentioned, there were "Kitchen", "Molodezhka" and "Interns". Let us remind you that the Ukrainian authorities regularly add to the list of USA movie projects banned from being shown in the country. In some cases, because of the "propaganda of the power structures", in others - because of the participation in them of artists from the so-called "black list", which includes USA celebrities who, according to Kiev, pose a threat to the country's national security.
