Fox will be developing a pilot for a television remake of the 2001 feature movie Behind Enemy Lines. This is reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

If the channel orders the production of a full season of the drama, Jeffrey Nachmanoff (Homeland) will script and direct the drama based on the 20th Century Fox movie, starring featuring Owen Wilson, Gene Hackman and Vladimir Mashkov. The pilot will be produced by 20th Century Fox Television and produced by Davis Entertainment.

The Fox television project is described as a dynamic military thriller about the crew of an American aircraft carrier shot down during a secret mission over the jungle of Latin America. The protagonists will be the captain of the downed plane and the CIA officer in Washington, who discovers a conspiracy in which everyone is tied up.

In addition to writing duties, Nachmanoff will take on the functions of executive producer, which he will share with Vic Godfrey and John Davis. who worked together on the movie, as well as Marty Bowen.
