Netflix to direct psychological thriller Gypsy
Netflix has commissioned the production of the psychological thriller Gypsy. This is reported by The Hollywood Reporter with reference to the streaming service. The drama, scripted by Lisa Rubin, follows Jean Holloway, a psychiatrist who begins to develop dangerous and intimate relationships with people associated with her patients. Working Title President Lisa Chaysin will share executive producer roles with Rubin. The 10-episode drama, which is also being developed by Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner, will premiere in 2017. The series will be another partnership between Universal Television, Working Title and Netflix, which already have have experience in the series "Unyielding Kimmy Schmidt" and "Master of all trades."
