Original Ghostbusters Team member Ernie Hudson will appear in Ghostbusters 3. The Hollywood Reporter reports this with reference to its sources.
How great the actor's contribution to the common cause will be is not specified yet. It is noteworthy that initially Hudson was opposed to movieing the next sequel with a female hunting team, describing the project in one of the interviews as a "bad idea." Later, he changed his mind and already claimed that the leading roles would be simply "phenomenal." Recall that, in addition to Hudson, Dan Aykroyd and Bill Murray also contributed to the creation of the painting.
The leading roles in the third movie were played by Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Keith McKinnon and Leslie Jones. Their heroines were named Erin Gilbert, Gillian Holtzman, Abby Yates and Patty Tolen. Ghostbusters 3 also stars Chris Hemsworth for the comic role of the huntress secretary, as well as Andy Garcia and Michael K. Williams, whose roles are still unknown.
Ghostbusters 3 is slated to premiere on July 22, 2016. The movie was directed by the creator of popular female comedies Paul Feig.
Sony Pictures expects that if the movie is successful, it will have several sequels.
