The Ukrainian authorities continue their campaign to withdraw popular USA movies from circulation. Another "delinquent" was the feature movie "Brother 2", released in 2000.

As reported on the official page of the State Agency of Ukraine for Cinema, the picture is prohibited from theatrical and television screening, and it is not allowed to be reproduced on various media for home and public demonstration. According to officials, the movie "contains scenes that humiliate Ukrainians on a national basis," and its screening is "unacceptable at the time of aggression in the East of the country."

The statement also states that the USA TV series "From the Life of Captain Chernyaev" and "Web 8" were also banned.

Recall that earlier the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine approved amendments to the law prohibiting the demonstration of movies released after 1991 that popularize the USA power structures in the country. Violators of the law will be fined between 10 and 50 times the minimum monthly wage for each screening of such movies and television movies.

Some USA movie projects have been recognized as "an instrument of information warfare." In particular, the Poddubny movie, which was also denied a rental license, deserved this very definition.
