The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has banned all new USAn movies
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine approved amendments to the law "On cinematography", which introduce a complete ban on the demonstration of movies "produced by individuals and legal entities of the aggressor state, which do not contain popularization or propaganda, provided for by the previous proposal of bodies and actions" The restrictions will apply to movie projects "produced and / or published (released) after January 1, 2014". Thus, all new USA movies are banned. As stated in the comments to the draft law, its main goal "is to improve the legal mechanism for protecting the national security of Ukraine in the information sphere by restricting in Ukraine any form of propaganda used by the occupying state." Recall that earlier in Ukraine a ban was imposed on the demonstration of USA movies released after 1991 and popularizing the security forces. Also, the so-called "black list" of USA artists who "pose a threat to the national security of Ukraine" was compiled. Many Soviet actors of the older generation got into it.
