The director of the movie "Guardians of the Galaxy" James Gunn asked viewers on his Facebook page to stop the persecution of Joss Whedon.

Gunn's open letter came after it was reported that Whedon had deleted his Twitter account in response to the ongoing torrent of abuse and threats that befell the director following the release of his new movie, "Avengers 2: Age of Ultron." p>

"Imagine being someone like Joss Whedon, dedicated his life to serving the fans, creating the best-of-breed heroes he truly loved, spending two years on a movie, and waking up one day to read all this nonsense on Twitter .... I do not believe that people who write that they are ready to find a director, break his neck and knock out his teeth, can be happy, "- wrote Gann.

As a reminder, Joss Whedon's last tweet read: "Thanks to everyone who was kind to me, cheerful and was a real inspiration to me." After this comment was posted, the page was unavailable. Immediately thereafter, it was suggested that Whedon reacted in this way to the accusations from various feminist structures, which did not like the way the image of the Black Widow was presented in the movie "Avengers 2". But now it is quite clear that we are talking about a much higher level of aggression.

As of this writing, Avengers 2 has grossed over $ 660 million at the box office.
