Postage stamps released for the Star Trek anniversary (Topic)

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the legendary Star Trek TV series, which will be celebrated in 2016, the US Post has issued four new stamps to mark the occasion. Each stamp features a famous character from the original series, including the transporter; the symbol of the Vulcan greeting, which is usually accompanied by the phrase "Live long and prosper"; the Starfleet emblem on the uniform; and, of course, an image of the spacecraft Enterprise. This was reported by Deadline.

Aired by NBC from 1966 to 1969, the original Star Trek series was canceled after its third season. The show gained cult status when it was shown on several television channels in the 70s. The visual series of the series, inspired by the fashion of the 60s, it is embodied in the colors and designs of images on stamps that true fans of the original show will surely appreciate.

The fiftieth anniversary of Star Trek, which spawned several television sequels and two full-length franchises, will also be marked the release of Justin Lean's movie "Star Trek 3: Infinity". The premiere is scheduled for July 22, 2016. Recall that the main roles in the series "Star Trek" - Captain Kirk and Commander Spock – performed by William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy respectively.
