CBS Films James Patterson's New Novel Black Book (Topic)

Crime drama creator Medium, Glenn Gordon Karon, James Patterson (Zoo) and CBS will join forces to create the drama series "Black Book" based on Patterson's novel of the same name, to be released in the near future. This is reported by the publication Deadline.

The project, based on a script written by Karon, tells the story of a Chicago detective suffering from amnesia after a recent injury, who learns that he is the prime suspect. He realizes that in reality things may not be what they seem at first glance when he comes across a mysterious black book that keeps the secrets of the city. Novel, printed by Little, Brown & Company will hit bookstore shelves in 2017.

Karon will take on showrunner duties and executive produce with Patterson, Charles Roven (Justice League: Part 1) and Alex Gartner (The Great Wall). Production will be handled by CBS TV Studios.
