The Lifetime Channel has renewed its new comedy drama "Unreal" for a second season. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the decision was made after five episodes of the ten-episode show aired. A second season with the same number of episodes will debut in 2016.

Created by Marty Noxon and Sarah Gertrude Shapiro, the series has an average of five million viewers on various platforms and was recently awarded a Critics Choice Awards for Most Anticipated New Series.
