The TV coverage of the Oscars has dropped to a six-year low. According to Variety, these are the results of a study conducted by Nielsen.

So, 36.8 million American viewers watched the events of the 2015 Oscar ceremony held on the eve. A year earlier, the show had an audience of 43.7 million viewers, a drop of about 16 percent.
