The CW has found its vigilant Black Lightning. As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Kress Williams, who previously starred on Zoe Hart of the Southern State, is starring in Greg Berlanti's superhero action movie Black Lightning, based on DC comics. The drama, originally developed for Fox, eventually went to The CW, which broadcasts Berlanti-curated popular TV comics such as Arrow, Flash, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow. The plot of the series revolves around Jefferson Pierce (Williams), who many years ago made the decision to hang his superhero costume in a closet and forget about his other self. But now circumstances force Pierce to break his promise and return in the form of the legendary Black Lightning.
