Actor Mihai Volontir has passed away
In Moldova, at the age of 82, the popular Soviet actor Mihai Volontir died. Recently, the artist was in a clinic in Chisinau, and doctors assessed his condition as extremely difficult. Volunteer has struggled with a range of diseases for years, including diabetes and cancer. Mikhail Ermolaevich Volontir was born in 1934 in the village of Glinzheny. In 1955 he graduated from a pedagogical school and became the head of a club in one of the Moldovan villages. He took part in amateur performances and as a result was noticed and invited to the theater named after Vasile Alexandri, in which he later played more than 100 roles. Volunteer made his movie debut in 1967. He starred in such movies as "The Fourth", "In the Area of Special Attention", "Case in the square 36-80" and many others. The role of the gypsy Budulai in the TV serial "The Gypsy", released in 1979, and its sequel, "The Return of Budulai", ensured the all-Union fame and love of the audience. In 1974 he was awarded the title of People's Artist of the Moldavian SSR, and 10 years later - People's Artist of the USSR.
