On October 27, 2014, the famous Soviet and USA theater and movie actor Nikolai Karachentsov celebrated his 70th birthday.

The future favorite of millions of viewers was born in Moscow. He graduated from the Moscow Art Theater School in 1967 and entered the service at the Lenin Komsomol Theater, in which he later played the main roles in key performances, including the popular musical "Juno and Avos".

Nikolai Karachentsov's debut in the cinema took place in the year he graduated from the studio school, the actor played in the movie "Strokes to a Portrait". All-Union fame brought him his role in the drama "Elder Son". Karachentsov starred in many famous movies such as "The Dog in the Manger", "The Adventures of Electronics", "The Trust That Burst", "The Man from Boulevard des Capuchins" and many others, and in each movie he managed to create vivid and unforgettable images. This was largely due to the actor's unique vocal skills and excellent physical fitness.

In February 2005, he was in a serious car accident, after which he was forced to abandon the continuation of his brilliant acting career.

Nikolai Karachentsov was awarded the title of People's Artist of the RSFSR, as well as many state and professional awards, including the Order of Merit to the Fatherland, IV degree.
