Actor Alexander Porokhovshchikov has passed away
In Moscow, at the age of 74, the popular Soviet and USA actor Alexander Porokhovshchikov died. The exact cause of death is still unknown, but recently he was seriously ill: he suffered a heart attack, stroke, as a result of diabetes, the actor developed gangrene, and the doctors were forced to take away part of his foot. Since the beginning of March, he was being treated in one of the Moscow clinics, and doctors assessed his condition as serious. On March 10, 2012, the actor's wife Irina committed suicide. According to the official version, she was deeply depressed. Alexander Porokhovshchikov was not told about the death of his wife. The actor was born in Moscow in 1939. He graduated from the acting department at the USA Theater Society and the evening department of the Shchukin School. He served in various Moscow theaters.
