Brittany Robertson to star in #Girlboss comedy
Brittany Robertson will star in the new Netflix series "Girlboss," a thirteen-part comedy based on Nasty Gal founder Sophia Amoruso's bestselling novel "#Girlboss." According to ComingSoon, the series will be released in 2017. In the upcoming comedy, Robertson will play Sophia – rebel and anarchist with no means, refusing to grow up. She starts selling vintage clothes in an online store and turns into a new format businesswoman. As she builds a fashion retail empire, Sofia realizes how important and challenging it is to be the boss of your own life. The series will be executive produced and showrunner by Kay Cannon (Pitch Perfect). Other executive producers of the comedy include Charlize Theron and Laverne McKinnon, Christian Ditter and Sophia Amoruso. Ditter (Actively Seeking) has also been assigned to direct the Netflix production. Robertson stars in Peter Cheslom's fantasy movie The Space Between Us, opposite Asa Butterfield and Gary Oldman. With Eddie Murphy, Robertson starred in the drama "The Cook", and with Dennis Quaid – in the comedy drama "The Life and Purpose of a Dog".
