Ashton Kutcher will continue collaborating with 2.5 People showrunners Don Rio and Jim Patterson and his 70s Comedy co-star Danny Masterson to create a new comedy series for the streaming service Netflix.

According to Deadline, citing its sources, Netflix plans to order the production of twenty episodes of "The Ranch" and release it in blocks of ten episodes twice a year. This will be the new release model for the original series – comedies and dramas - which Netflix traditionally puts out thirteen episodes in one day. In this way, Netflix will combine the model used by public networks, movieing sitcoms of twenty-two episodes, and its own tradition of making all episodes of the season available for viewing on the same day.

The Ranch, scripted by Rio and Patterson, takes place on a ranch in Colorado, where Kutcher's character returns after a short semi-professional career as a football player to start the family business with his brother, who will play Masterson.

Rio and Patterson will executive produce the series, which is slated to launch in 2016. In turn, Kutcher and Masterson, who became friends after working on Fox's "The 70s Show," will share producer functions.
