Liam Neeson will star in the political thriller Felt, which is directed by Peter Landesman. According to Comingsoon, the Hollywood actor got the role of the famous informant, codenamed "Deep Throat". The latter became a source of information for the press during the so-called Watergate scandal, which was followed by the resignation of President Nixon. For 30 years, Deep Throat's real name remained a mystery until it was revealed in 2005 that it was Special Agent Mark Felt. The pseudonym was coined by Washington Post editor Howard Simons, and was inspired by a popular pornographic movie of the 1970s. According to Felt's own statement, he decided to inform the press, as he could not allow the US presidential administration to manipulate the secret services in their political interests. Filming for "Firth" will start in March 2016, a possible rental schedule has not been specified at the time of this writing. As for Neeson, he has a very busy shooting schedule.
