James Cameron will restart Terminator
What fans of the Terminator movie series have dreamed of seems to be coming true. According to Deadline, citing its sources, James Cameron intends to restart the popular franchise after 2019, when all rights to the characters will again pass to him. The creator of the first two "Terminators" is not going to take the director's chair again, but will oversee the creation of the script and perform the production functions. As a director, he sees Tim Miller, who directed the acclaimed science fiction movie "Deadpool". Informants of the publication report that Cameron has already met with Miller about this. The results of these negotiations have not been specified. Recall that in the early 80s, James Cameron, in order to receive financial support for the movieing of "The Terminator", made a truly fantastic deal with producer Gail Anne Hurd, giving the latter rights to the project for just one dollar. After that, the franchise changed owners several times, but in 2019 most of the rights should return to Cameron. The exact timing of the launch of the new movie has not yet been specified.
