An interesting addition has taken place in the cast of Knights of the Round Table: King Arthur, directed by British director Guy Ritchie.

According to the tabloid The Daily Express, he was joined by the famous former football player David Beckham. What character he will play is not specified. It is only stated that he will appear in a key scene with King Arthur's legendary sword, Excalibur.

It should be noted that very often the legend of Excalibur is confused with another British myth about the Sword in the Stone. In most of the texts, Arthur finds his blade with the assistance of Merlin and removes it not from the stone, but takes it from the hands of the Lake Fairy. Excalibur was credited with many magical properties, including the ability to cut through other blades, like wood. After Arthur's death, the sword was thrown into the lake, that is, returned to the mistress of the waters.

Let us remind you that Charlie Hunnam, Jude Law, Annabelle Wallis, Eric Bana, Astrid Berger-Frisbee, Katie McGrath, Djimon Hounsou, Michael Persbrandt, Joff Bell, Mark Haldor and other famous actors.

The premiere will take place on July 22, 2016. If successful, Richie plans to shoot several sequels.
