Sylvester Stallone refused to work on the fourth part of the action movie "The Expendables". According to Deadline, this happened due to a conflict with the head of Nu Image / Millennium Avi Lerner, with whom Stallone did not agree on the future development of the franchise.

It is alleged that both of them could not agree on literally all issues, from the candidacy of the director of the fourth movie, as well as his script, to the special effects that will need to be created. As for the latter, Stallone was not satisfied with the quality of the work of the Bulgarian studio Nu Boyana, which is owned by Lerner.

It is noteworthy that for participation in this project, Stallone should have received the largest fee in his life - more than $ 20 million.

It is not yet known what impact Stallone's departure will have on the further fate of the project, and whether most of its cast will follow. Recall that the movie "The Expendables 4" was planned to be presented to viewers in 2017.

Part 3, released in 2014, grossed a modest $ 206 million worldwide on a $ 90 million production budget. The movie stars Jason Statham, Jet Li, Antonio Banderas, Wesley Snipes, Dolph Lundgren, Mel Gibson, Harrison Ford, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Rhonda Rousey and others.
