Jason Statham to star in The Expendables spin-off (Topic)

Project "The Expendables" got an unexpected development. According to the Comic Book, the action series will have a spin-off, The Expendables: A Christmas Carol, about the character played by Jason Statham. The director of the picture is DJ Caruso, whose assets include such movies as "Paranoia", "Taking Lives" and others.

Note that Statham's hero is called Christmas, so the title is most likely a play on words. The project, which has an estimated production budget of $ 70 million, will be funded by Millennium Films in partnership with Nu Image. It is expected that, in addition to Statham himself, his colleagues from The Expendables, including Sylvester Stallone, Tony Jah and others, will take part in the movie. Not yet known, how significant their games will be.

Let us remind you that the Expendables trilogy starred many action stars of the past. Films were invariably in demand with viewers, despite the uncomplicated plot.
