The creator of the "Night at the Museum" series of movies, Sean Levy, will movie a remake of the popular in the past fantastic movie "Man from the Star". This is reported by The Hollywood Reporter. The project will be produced by Michael Douglas, who did the same while working on the original.

In the center of the plot is an alien who arrived on Earth on a friendly visit. His ship was shot down by the American Air Force, and he himself miraculously escapes death. Having made his way into the nearby house of a young widow, he takes the form of her deceased husband. Together they must reach a place where the alien could return home, but government agents intend to prevent them.

The 1984 movie stars Jeff Bridges, Karen Allen, Charles Martin Smith, Richard Jackel and other actors. The project's box office, which totaled only $ 28 million, did not allow it to pay off.

Terms of work and a possible rental schedule for the new version have not yet been specified. The leading actors are also not named.

At the time of this writing, Sean Levy's latest directorial project was the 2014 movie "Then Live Yourself". The director planned to movie the popular game "Minecraft", but in the end he refused.
