Wesley Snipes starred in Endgame pilot (Topic)

"Blade" trilogy star Wesley Snipes has been confirmed for the lead role in the pilot for NBC's "Endgame" drama. This is reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

The Endgame storyline is set in the high-stakes world of Las Vegas, where a former sniper and now a security expert (Philip Winchester, "Strike Back") gets caught into a mysterious conspiracy and, as a result of a series of heroic actions, saves innocent lives.

Snipes will play Johnson, an imperturbable guy with restrained humor. Incredibly intelligent and analytical. The casino manager of The Game, he keeps a close eye on the big picture, but he is also able to deal with the problem when things get out of hand.

John Rogers ("Librarians" ) will write the screenplay for Sony Pictures Television and executive produce with John Davis and John Fox ("Blacklist").

Snipes will have a first regular television role if ordered for a full season. Last season, the actor was in talks with Fox for the lead role in Empire, which was later confirmed by Terrence Howard. His role in "Engame" will be the second after Snipes's participation in the movie "The Expendables 3" since the actor served two and a half years for tax evasion.

On television, Snipes starred in guest roles in the TV series Miami Police : Department of Morals and The Bernie Mac Show.
