The crew of the International Space Station will have the opportunity to watch the movie "Star Wars: Episode 7 - The Force Awakens" in orbit. This was announced on his Twitter page by British astronaut Tim Peak, who will go to the ISS as part of an international expedition on December 15, 2015.

"We will have a projector and a screen on board, and I was told that a copy of the new Star Wars will be waiting for us. What a great place for such a session," the astronaut wrote.

Thus, the ISS crew will be able to see the picture earlier than most of the inhabitants of the Earth. Recall that the world premiere of the movie will take place on December 14, 2015 in Los Angeles, and it will be widely released on December 17-18 of the same year. The exception will be China, where the seventh episode of "Star Wars" will be presented to viewers in early 2016.

It also became known that in USA the movie has already set a record for the number of tickets sold before the premiere. USA distributors hope that Star Wars 7 will succeed in displacing Avatar from the first place in the ranking of the highest grossing movie projects in the history of the national movie market.

The movie is expected to set a string of all-time records, including in the box office for the weekend premiere.
