Alan Richson ("The Hunger Games 2: Catching Fire") will star in the new Syfy drama series "Blood Drive". This is reported by the publication Deadline.

Serial studio Universal Cable Prods. and executive producers John Lavigne and David Straiton, who are also co-directors, was created by Jason Roland, who wrote the pilot with Avalanche. Set in the not-too-distant post-apocalyptic future in Los Angeles, the drama is centered on former police officer Arthur Bailey (Richson), currently working for a private security company. His partner becomes a dangerous femme fatale, who has her own plans.

Arthur considers violence, which is welcomed among his colleagues, reprehensible. He sincerely wants to help make this devastated dark world a better place, but during his investigation he is forced to join Blood Drive, an underground death race in which cars run on human blood.

Richson is best known for his roles as Aquaman in Smallville and Ted Castle in Blue Mountain State. At the time of this writing, the fantastic action movie "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2", in which the actor plays the role of Raphael, is being shown at the worldwide box office.
