New Jack Reacher Found
When the action-thriller Jack Reacher hit the big screens in 2012, it received overwhelmingly positive critical acclaim. However, fans of Lee Child's original series of books were outraged, as they felt that the leading actor Tom Cruise did not match Reacher's description in the printed source. It seems that the creators of the series about the fearless hero decided to correct the mistakes of their predecessors.The Jack Reacher television project was announced back in 2018, and earlier this year, Amazon's online service gave the go-ahead to shoot the first season. Now it became known that the title character of the series will be played by Alan Richson, who is familiar to the audience on the telecomic "Titans". The actor's track record also includes the iconic Smallville and the action-horror Blood Race. Nick Santora ("The Escape") has been selected as scriptwriter and showrunner for the film adaptation, while Lee Child himself and director Christopher McQuarrie, who directed the first part of the Jack Reacher movie, were among the executive producers.  The show's first season is reportedly based on The Killing Field, in which Reacher finds himself in the small town of Margrave, Georgia, and is the prime suspect in a murder case.
