Doctor Strange received top critical acclaim
Professional movie critics working with the world's leading movie publishers have given the highest ratings to Doctor Strange, based on popular Marvel comics. At the time of this writing, the rating of the picture on the website of the largest aggregator of professional reviews RottenTomatoes was the maximum one hundred percent. "Exciting, great cast and extraordinarily beautiful addition to the studio's impressive portfolio," said Todd McCarthy, reviewer for The Hollywood Reporter. "This is a kaleidoscope of thrilling action and innovative special effects that showcases the new superhero Marve through the efforts of director and screenwriter Scott Derrickson in brilliant and amazing Doctor Strange," wrote USA Today writer David Erlich. "Visually flawless, yet very intense plot," echoes The Playlist reviewer Gregory Elwood. "This bizarre and funny adventure is a good illustration of the importance of special effects when they are not for their own sake, but supported by real imagination," wrote the author of The Wrap, Alfonso Duralde.
