The Cinemax drama "The Outcast" by executive producers Robert Kirkman and Chris Black has been replenished with a cast. The ten-episode exorcism project, based on the Kirkman / artist Paul Azaketa comic strip, is joined by David Denman (The Gift), Melinda McGraw (Mad Men), Grace Zabriskie (Murder), Catherine Dent (Astronaut Wives Club), Lee Tergesen ("The Americans") and Brent Spiner ("Blunt Speaks"). According to Deadline, production of the series begins in South Carolina.

Outcast revolves around Kyle Barnes (Patrick Fujit), a young man who has been obsessed since childhood. Having become a grown man, he goes in search of answers and finds out that life on Earth is in danger.

Denman will play Mark Holter, played by Kip Pardue in the pilot. Married to Kyle's sister, Megan, Mark, first of all, husband and father, and secondly – cop in a small town. He loves his wife, but his innate sense of justice is uncomfortable with her loyalty to his brother, whom Mark cannot forgive for past wrongdoings.

McGraw is cast as Patricia McCready, a single mother and devoted member of the Light Baptist Church. of God and a regular at the Reverend Anderson Church (Philip Glenister).

Zabriskie will play Mildred, one of Anderson's oldest churchgoers. Mildred lives alone and says whatever he thinks.

Dent will play the role of Reverend Anderson's ex-wife, Janet Anderson. Their marriage collapsed due to a passionate struggle led by Anderson with the forces of darkness. Janet still feels affection and sympathy for the man she once loved, the father of her child.

Tergesen got the role of Blake Morrow, a former police officer awaiting execution for the murder of his partner's wife.

The series is produced by Fox International Studios.
