Superpowers premiere date announced
Sony has announced the premiere date for its new Superpowers series, based on Brian Bendis and Michael Avon Oming's "Powers" comic series. The action series will debut on PlayStation Network on March 10, 2015. According to Deadline, on March 10, the first three episodes will be available for viewing, and each next episode of the ten-episode action movie will be released on Tuesdays. Thus, the form of the series' release will combine the model of streaming services, which put out a full season of series, and traditional TV channels, which air one episode per week. In addition, the first episode of the series "Superpowers" will be free to watch, and the subsequent - for PlayStation Plus subscribers only. Action of the series produced by Sony Pictures TV, combining the genres of superhero fantasy, crime noir and police procedural, take place in a world inhabited by people with supernatural abilities, which are only a catalyst for mayhem and murder. The plot centers on detectives Christian Walker (Sharlto Copley) and Dina Pilgrim (Susan Hayard), whose job duties include protecting ordinary people and investigating cases related to the so-called Powers, which cut through the skies and arrange epic battles there, without paying attention to mere mortals below. The series also stars Max Fowler, Adam Godley, Noah Taylor, Eddie Izzard and others. Showrunners of the project – Charlie Houston and Remy Obouchon (Skies Collapsed).
