Joseph Kosinski appointed director of Tron 3
Walt Disney Pictures has confirmed Joseph Kosinski as director of Tron 3. The Hollywood Reporter reports this with reference to its sources. Filming may begin as early as fall 2015, but studio management has yet to green-light the project. It is also not yet known where the movie will be movieed. One of the possible sites was named Vancouver, where the work on the movie "Tron: Legacy" took place, but at the time of this writing, no contracts have been concluded. Note that previously it was repeatedly reported about the possibility of movieing the third part of a fantastic movie, but every time it did not go further than conversations on this topic. Kosinski himself promised to submit the Tron 3 script back in April 2013. By the way, the director has several more promising movie projects. In particular, he was going to make a movie based on the popular series of games, united under the name "Gran Turismo". The timeline of work on this project at the time of this writing was not specified. Tron: Legacy, starring Jeff Bridges, Olivia Wilde, Bruce Boxleitner, James Frain, Beau Garrett, Michael Sheen, was released in 2010 and grossed just $ 400 million worldwide.
